How it Works

Getting Started

Before you start your application, make sure you have all the information and details outlined below.

1. Submit

Complete the submissions form and include a brief proposal (overview, table of contents, sample chapter or spreads, target audience, and author background) to If it’s a fit, we’ll outline scope, timeline, and budget.

2. Editorial Strategy

You’ll meet with an editor to refine concept, hook, and comps so the book is positioned for the trade and for the equestrian community.

3. Manuscript Development

Developmental editing as needed, followed by copyediting and proofreading to TSB standards.

4. Design & Production

Category-appropriate interiors, compelling jacket/cover, and production management for print and ebook (and, when appropriate, audiobook).

5. Sales, Marketing & Publicity

We prepare metadata and sales materials, present the title to accounts, and coordinate marketing and publicity aimed at riders, trainers, barns, events, and specialty media.

6. Publication & Beyond

Upon launch, we manage inventory, reprints, and ongoing campaigns to keep the book discoverable in both general retail and equestrian channels.

7. Distribution & Reach
