Are you searching for the perfect baby shower gift? Or perhaps you're an expectant parent embarking on the existential task of naming your new child. Look no further—The Terrible Baby Name Book may be the most outrageous humor book of the year.

As you begin your journey to parenthood, everyone from your parents to your friends and co-workers will have an opinion on the perfect name for your baby. Any parent can reject such common names as Michael, Olivia, or Brooke. So why not choose something new and innovative? Imagine what adventures await a child named FLOTUS, Onion, Polygon, Paddle, Dr. Fauci, Helvetica, or, of course, Tostito. It will shape their personality, identity, and how they will be seen by others for the rest of their life.

If you have already checked out all the baby name books and parenting websites, then you know there are a lot of great names out there, but none of them are as wild and zany as the ones we suggest. The Terrible Baby Name Book is the answer to your prayers at last, and dares parents to go where no parent has ever gone before.  Our book includes:

  • More than 3,500 delightfully unexpected names in convenient A-to-Z order

  • A faux academic introduction by noted “linguist” Dr. L. Titus Carpathian providing lively examples, sharply funny commentary, and larger cultural context

  • An instructional preface that tells expectant parents how to use this as a reference guide and essential resource.

  • Witty individual name sidebars that give pronunciations, name origins, history, and origin stories.

  • An appendix of Top 10 lists by category, including pets, regional influences, and sports-inspired names.

The perfect gift for parents to be, this must-have baby name book will have everyone laughing along with you. Sitting beside What to Expect When You’re Expecting and Dr. Spock’s Baby and Childcare, The Terrible Baby Name Book may well be the essential misguided guide for naming the modern child.
