World Tales of Sharing stories are modern retellings of folk tales from West Africa to the Pacific Northwest and Arctic Regions.

The Selfish Spider is a retelling of a famous West African tale. Anansi is a clever, but very greedy spider, who can't resist a good meal. When his selfish appetite leaves very little for anyone else, Anansi soon learns that even the trickiest spider can use a lesson in sharing.

In Raven Brings the Daylight, we are dropped into a world of darkness. A greedy seagull has captured all the daylight and locked it away in a box. But a clever raven, with a smart plan, tricks the seagull and sets the sunshine free! Samuel Valentino brings these tales from West Africa and North America’s Pacific Coast regions to remind us that it's better to share than be greedy.
