Growing up in Maine, Erika Zambello spent summers swimming in chilly Atlantic Ocean waters, hiking fir-covered mountains, and rock-hopping within clear-running streams filled with trout. Quickly falling in love with the natural world, she has been hooked on outdoor exploration ever since. Today, Erika is a writer, photographer, and communications specialist for conservation organizations. Her works include Backyard Birding for Kids, Seashells & Beachcombing for Kids, Mama and Baby Animals Activity Book, and more. She takes joy in introducing kids to the wonders of nature.Mary Zambello is a Maine-based artist and designer whose illustrations are inspired by the natural beauty of her home state. A lifelong lover of the outdoors, she enjoys exploring Maine's forests, coastlines, and wildlife, drawing inspiration from the plants and animals that make the state unique. Through her artwork and her business, Reclaimed Wild Co, Mary seeks to share a sense of curiosity, wonder, and connection to the natural world. The Maine ABCs is her first collaboration with her sister, Erika.
